Would lingering curse help to counter his amulet thingy? he gets healed for whatever he takes, so if his healing is 1/2 of what it usually is, can you get more damage in?

I could be wrong, but I don't think the Amulet counts as "Healing", it's just life given. Sort of like the way Life Steal goes through prot, I don't think anything can negate the Amulet.

The mechanism as I observed it is much easier and therefore bypassing all cleaver skill combo's:
1) de lord is taking damage and the clock is ticking
2) after the maximum allowed drop in health is achieved, from that moment on, every drop of health is countered, by a similar amount of healing
3) second is past... and we are back to number 1. (the second is of course an arbitrary choice... for the matter of speaking it can be any number)
So if lingering curse has any effect: the amulet just heals faster...
The effect will be: no matter what you throw against him: it is capped at 50-250 dps. The only (possible) exception is to find a single attack that can take away his 2500 hp in 1 blow...
oww and to JR comment that degen is not a good way to kill so much hit points it is of course, if you have nothing else to do that evening
